Self Defence

A self defence program is also taught for both the young and old focusing on a variety of topics including  the truth about aggressive behaviour and communication as an effective solution for resolving conflict.

It is important to understand that not all threatening situations require the use of force which is why it is important to develop skills to verbally de-escalate conflicts.

We run through a number of case scenarios where we practise various techniques involving partner work.

It is intended to give the layperson some instruction in physical self-defence in a short period of time with the intention to protect them selves.

  • Blocks and dodges

  • Releases and escapes

  • Control techniques

  • Counter attacks

  • Situational case study drills
